Recruitment consultancy or recruitment...
What is
the difference between recruitment consulting and recruiting?
For me, the
difference is huge. While recruiters work with a candidate-centered approach,
in recruitment consulting the focus is on the customer. We are looking for the
most suitable candidate for our clients for a particular position. In addition
to professional qualifications, personal characteristics and the question of
whether a person fits the company or team play a particularly important role.
There are many factors to consider here that we discussed extensively with our
clients before the search began.
In
recruitment, the focus is on the candidate. Potential employers are searched
for the candidate, or for a candidate with a private profile, employers are
asked if they have a job. The same candidate is therefore potentially presented
to several companies. This path is often chosen for specialist functions sought
in a wide variety of companies. For example, software developers, which are
needed in most companies due to their qualifications. These functions can be
filled across sectors very easily. Cultural adaptation often plays a secondary
role. Because these are generally positions that do not have managerial
responsibilities.
The
situation is different in the field of recruitment consultancy. Here, a
candidate with specific professional qualifications is usually sought in a very
specific segment or industry. Leadership responsibility often comes with it.
This means that the work here is customer focused. Because the customer, who
has a culture and leadership understanding in his company, is looking for
someone who has special technical and sector knowledge and can easily integrate
into the company. This is a fully focused search through the eyes of the
customer. It goes without saying that a candidate is only in one process at a
time. In this way, we ensure that our client receives suitable candidates as
well as we can.
However,
our personal image goes even further. For example, we advise our clients on
organizational issues or tasks. Our own management experience plays an
important role here, as we ourselves have held managerial positions for many
years and use this knowledge usefully for our clients. “Insight /André Limburg”
During a
company visit recently, a board member asked about our candidate recruitment
resources. Our human resources also use similar resources, he said. “What are
you doing differently?” he asked.
Although it may seem like we are using the same resources at first glance, when
we dig deeper, everyone has an area of expertise. Our job is recruitment
consultancy, and the firm's area of expertise is production. Although the
company is the HR team, their job is not only recruitment, of course, HR has
other functions. An important detail here is that our industry and market
experience is very intense. While we work in more than 20 industries, they only
work in their own industry. While we provide recruitment consultancy services
in many different occupations, they work in a limited number of occupations.
Thanks to the digital infrastructure we use in our recruitment services and
because we work in many sectors, we have many candidate interview reports in
our database, most of which are related to professions.
Especially
in recent years, sector and market experience has increased its importance in
recruitment consultancy or recruitment. We have this too. Thanks to our market
and sector experience, we offer the most suitable candidates for the corporate
culture of the client company by producing fast solutions in the middle and
senior managerial positions demanded by our customers. This experience comes
naturally during our 18-year recruitment consultancy process. After that, the
period of finding candidates by posting on career sites ends. Now the industry,
market experience, network, employer brand in your social media network comes
to the fore. It's getting harder and harder to find the best candidates.
We wish you
healthy and beautiful days.
