PLANT BUYER (SENIOR PROCUREMENT SPECIALIST)

Our client, one of the world's largest independent Contract Development and Manufacturing Organizations (CDMO) in the pharmaceutical industry, is a multinational company with a strong corporate culture. We are seeking a Plant Buyer (Senior Procurement Specialist) to join its manufacturing facility.

As part of the Global Procurement organization, this position will work closely with the European Corporate Procurement team and will be responsible for ensuring the effective execution of plant procurement activities. The role will contribute to strategic sourcing initiatives, enhance supplier performance, and support operational excellence objectives.
Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Pharmacy, or a related field.
• Minimum 7–8 years of procurement experience in the pharmaceutical industry, particularly in raw materials and packaging materials procurement.
• Proven experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, and supplier management.
• Strong background in supplier development, commercial negotiations, and contract management.
• Experience in indirect procurement is considered an advantage.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
• Proficient in ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong analytical thinking, planning, and organizational skills.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.
• Proactive, results-oriented, and committed to continuous process improvement.
• For male candidates, military service must be completed.
• Residing in or willing to relocate to Tekirdağ, Çorlu, or Lüleburgaz.

Job Responsibilities

1. Implement corporate procurement strategies established by the European Corporate Procurement organization at the plant level.
2. Manage procurement activities for raw materials, packaging materials, and indirect purchasing categories.
3. Conduct negotiations with suppliers regarding pricing, delivery schedules, and commercial terms.
4. Manage supplier sourcing, evaluation, qualification, and onboarding processes.
5. Monitor supplier performance and coordinate continuous improvement initiatives.
6. Identify procurement risks proactively and develop mitigation and action plans to ensure supply continuity.
7. Take an active role in cost reduction and operational efficiency improvement projects.
8. Support digital transformation and procurement process automation initiatives.
9. Monitor procurement KPIs and prepare regular performance reports.
10. Ensure full compliance with internal procurement policies, financial controls, and audit requirements.
11. Collaborate effectively with Production, Quality, Planning, Finance, and other cross-functional departments.
