SECTION:-2 PREPARATION PROCESS FOR YOUR NEW WORKPLACE AND FIRST IMPRESSION IS IMPORTANT.

The importance of onboarding for both the company and the new employee is often underestimated.

For the employee, it will be a matter of seeing that the good impression the company made to you in personal interviews before you were hired is actually confirmed. If there is a high degree of harmony here, the employee will feel approved in his decision and will start his new struggle with a high motivation from the very first day. If there are inconsistencies here, you will notice a decrease in your own motivation before you even start, and in some cases this will even lead to a general questioning of the decision made.

The company should also pay high attention to a good and smooth recruitment process, because the employee will adapt to his new role much faster, thereby bringing the desired and expected benefit to the company. Also, a structured recruitment process always offers the possibility of recognizing the new employee's weaknesses at an early stage and taking appropriate action.

It is also recommended that you familiarize yourself with the company's own laws at a very early stage.

Two examples of this:

You are used to the fact that meetings always start after 15 minutes anyway, and then you arrive at a company where punctuality is a central corporate value.

You're used to emailing your co-workers with work orders late at night or even on the weekend, and you've come to a company where work-life balance is hotly debated and emails outside of "normal" hours are therefore frowned upon.

These little things quickly create a feeling in colleagues and superiors whether they are a good fit for the new colleague. The psychological impact of such "little things" should never be underestimated. It is therefore recommended that you ask these unwritten laws directly or observe them closely during the first few days and weeks. Take notes and make sure you understand the new company's culture and consider it in your daily work. Of course, culture can always be changed. But I highly recommend not trying this in the first few weeks.

We wish you a pleasant day
